Planning For Fall 2020

We don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, much less this summer or fall. But at the moment, it’s easy to imagine a fall semester that might take place online. And how will that work best?

  1. Start with clear, consistent, authentic communication with incoming students. Be honest and transparent about what’s going on at every step of the way. Building trust is key.
  2. Level up your technology and online offerings. While students this spring will accept and be compassionate about the steep learning curve happening on both sides as classes go online, by next fall, they will be expecting a seamless experience.
  3. Begin planning now. Working your way through how a virtual graduation might happen? Do the same for matriculation and orientation.
