1/12/2024

As we look forward into 2024 and are planning for this bright new year, we wanted to take the time and review what worked well in 2023. So let's revisit our most popular article, podcast episode, Live session, social media post, and more — all with an eye to how we can share your information across these formats in the upcoming year!

Most popular article on StudyUSA.com
Understanding the American Education System is consistently ranked as the most-read article on the site. This tells us that there’s regularly a new crop of international students hungry for information about the U.S. education system and how to make their way in it.

Danny Nguyen and his family emigrated from Vietnam to the U.S. when he was 4 years old. Now, Danny is a VP of Administrative Services at Mission College. His powerful story was the most-downloaded International Student Stories podcast of this last year.

Most popular Live session
The year’s most popular Live session — Making the Most of Your Time Abroad: Getting Involved on Campus — was a conversation with Myle Duong, Assistant Director of International Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Northern Iowa, and international student Darta Dalecka. Darta shared her story of getting involved on campus and how doing so has brought immense joy to her student experience. The session reached an audience of 97,000 viewers.

Most shared social media post
In last year’s most shared social media post, Sunshine talked about the positive experiences she’s had as a psychology major at California State University, Chico. This post was so engaging and relevant that students wanted to spread it further by sharing it with friends — at the rate of sharing it 7x more than any of our other posts this year!

Biggest print magazine distribution
Several times a year, we partner with 21st Century Teens, a subscriber-based publication in China, to run multiple-page inserts in its Teens Senior and Junior publications. Content includes articles, blog posts, and ads supplied by Study in the USA and its clients. The number of subscribers for each issue? Two million people all across China!

Student Showcase
Last month we produced an online event called the “Study in the USA Showcase Live Holiday Concert” featuring talented international students from around the globe. Students from Los Angeles City College and the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts performed on our social channels. Watch — or rewatch — on our Instagram and Facebook pages!

Campaign to celebrate our clients
In March, we celebrated International Women’s Day with our clients, who shared their own personal journeys and advice for international students. We loved learning from and lifting up all of the powerful, inspirational women we work with everyday.
These 2023 successes aren’t shared just to brag — although we are proud of them — but as examples of the various avenues we can use to showcase your schools, programs, and stories for our international student audience.

What’s new, exciting, and worth sharing about your program, school, students, or alums?
Get in touch so we can collaborate and strategize the best way to share your stories this year!
