When deciding on what platforms to use for your social media campaign, start by taking a look at the current media channels you use to promote your school. Ask yourself:

  • Which performs the best?
  • Which allows you to pay for advertisements?
  • Which have the best engagement?
  • Most importantly, where are your students hanging out?

The most popular platforms among Gen Z are:
  • Instagram
  • YouTube
  • Snapchat
  • TikTok
  • WeChat
  • WeiBo
  • Twitter

Are you currently creating one campaign and promoting on one platform? If so, try using that same content but editing it to best fit a couple other platforms.

If it’s an event you’re promoting, create a quick video for Instagram and TikTok, creative content for Twitter, Weibo, and Facebook and a great story for WeChat!

Using your most popular platforms will increase shares and likes with the goal of more student engagement.
